  • Prospects for the use of reinforced polymer pipelines in the creation of oil pipeline systems in the field

The problem of ensuring trouble-free operation of field pipelines is becoming more and more urgent from year to year. The development of deposits in areas with difficult natural and climatic conditions (the Far North, Western Siberia) requires a new approach to improving the reliability of pipeline systems. Along with the search for new technologies in construction and operation, the use of modern composite materials in the production of pipes is a primary task. Analysis of the causes of failures of field pipelines in the permafrost zone allowed us to identify the main ones: corrosion, water hammer, loss of stability as a result of frost heaving of soils. Comparative calculations of steel and fiberglass pipelines allow us to recommend the latter as an alternative to metal pipelines, because they have better corrosion and abrasive resistance, low roughness and thermal conductivity, high ductility and manufacturability.

  • Orthogonal signal processing using mathematical models of discrete wavelet transformations implemented in modular residue classes codes

To improve the efficiency of low-orbit satellite Internet systems (LOSIS) and ensure high apeed of data exchange, systems supporting orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) technology are widely used. The use of OFDM methods makes it possible to expand the bandwidth of the radio channel based on the increase in spectral efficiency. In order to do this, OFDM systems use orthogonal signal transformation based on fast Fourier transformation (FFT). To reduce the time spent on signal processing, the article proposes to use discrete wavelet transformations of signals (DWT) implemented in modular residue classes codes (MRCC). The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that based on the integration of methods for constructing discrete wavelet transforms and methods for developing modular codes, mathematical models of DWT implemented in the MRCC will be created, the use of which will reduce the execution time of orthogonal signal processing in OFDM systems. This result will be achieved by parallelizing arithmetic operations on the modules of the modular code. At the same time, the use of low-bit operands makes it possible to switch from performing multiplication, addition, and subtraction operations in the MRCC to retrieving data from LUT tables. Thus, the development of mathematical models of discrete wavelet transformations implemented in modular codes of residue classes is an urgent task.

  • Comparative efficiency of waste gas purification technologies from nitrogen oxides

Nitrogen oxides are one of the most common and toxic gaseous air pollutants of large industrial centers. The main difficulty of cleaning gas emissions is related to the dependence of the efficiency of the applied cleaning technologies on the NOx concentration, the frequency of emissions, the need for processing and/or disposal of products of interaction of nitrogen oxides with absorbers and regeneration of catalysts. The article analyzes the features of currently used and promising methods of cleaning waste gases from NOx, systematizes data on the effectiveness of such technologies. Based on the analysis of the processes of formation of nitrogen oxides, rational approaches to reducing NOx emissions in metal etching technology and electroplating are proposed.
